Maybe it's time to switch

CASS - Emily Stein
For this fun project I had to create several comical characters.
Firstly, for the Rolodex lady, we decided to give her a 60s beehive to match the but her real hair was not long enough for this and as such we had to get a wig. I styled this on her to make sure it suited her face shape.
For the Orange Tan man, the client wanted the tan to be fake orange so it would be more comical. I tested several tan colours and none of them yielded a comical tan and so I used an orange airbrush colour which was perfect. To create the tan I used an airbrush which ensured that the tan was even and also allowed for quick application. We airbrushed over the sunglasses that were being used which left a perfect sunglasses tan line on his face. I used rollers to give the models straight hair a bit of bounce and volume to complement the 70s look.
Lastly for the finger ‘tache man, I printed loads of different styles of moustaches and loads of different sizes on to tattoo paper. This meant that on the day we could choose the best size for his finger.
I really enjoyed this job, I thrive on the problem solving aspect that makeup can offer and this certainly ticked the box.
